Who we are

Vista Dental is a dental clinic at 12723 Victoria Trail NW, Edmonton, AB T5A 4J4. We handle personal information in accordance with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA). Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@myvistadental.ca.

What this website collects

This website does not collect appointment details in a form. Online booking is completed in the scheduler embedded on our pages, provided by Akitu at vistadental.akituone.cloud. You can also call or email the clinic. We do not sell personal information or add you to marketing lists without your consent.

Please don't include medical or health details in a scheduler note or email. Anything about your dental or medical history is best discussed by phone or in person at the clinic, where it is recorded in our secure clinical systems.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Ads conversion tracking and cookies to measure whether advertising led to a phone call. We use that only to understand our ads, not to build marketing lists.

Service providers and where data is processed

Like most modern websites, this site relies on reputable third-party providers, and some of them process data on servers located outside Canada (currently in the United States):

• Website hosting — the site's pages are served from datacenters operated by our hosting provider.
• Online booking — the scheduler is provided by Akitu at vistadental.akituone.cloud. Booking details are entered there, not submitted to this website through a form.
• Advertising measurement — Google Ads records a conversion when a visitor taps the clinic phone number.

When your information is processed outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We choose providers with strong security practices and share only the minimum needed to deliver the service.

Your patient records are separate

Your dental chart, x-rays, treatment history and billing records are never stored on or transmitted through this website. They live in the clinic's dedicated practice-management systems and are safeguarded as health information under Alberta's Health Information Act.

Retention

This website does not store appointment-request emails. Messages you send the clinic by email are kept only as long as needed to arrange your visit, then deleted in the normal course of business.

Your rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent to its use. Email hello@myvistadental.ca and we will respond promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date.
