Who we are

Vista Dental is a dental clinic at 12723 Victoria Trail NW, Edmonton, AB T5A 4J4. We handle personal information in accordance with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA). Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@myvistadental.ca.

What this website collects

The only personal information this website collects is what you choose to send through the appointment request form: your name, phone number, email address, the type of visit you'd like, your preferred time, and an optional note. We use it for one purpose — contacting you to arrange your appointment. We do not sell personal information or add you to marketing lists without your consent.

Please don't include medical or health details in the form. The website form is for scheduling only. Anything about your dental or medical history is best discussed by phone or in person at the clinic, where it is recorded in our secure clinical systems.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising cookies or analytics trackers. If that changes — for example, if we later add measurement for our advertising — we will update this policy first.

Service providers and where data is processed

Like most modern websites, this site relies on reputable third-party providers, and some of them process data on servers located outside Canada (currently in the United States):

• Website hosting — the site's pages are served from datacenters operated by our hosting provider.
• Form delivery — appointment requests are relayed to our clinic email by a form-delivery service.

When your information is processed outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We choose providers with strong security practices and share only the minimum needed to deliver the service.

Your patient records are separate

Your dental chart, x-rays, treatment history and billing records are never stored on or transmitted through this website. They live in the clinic's dedicated practice-management systems and are safeguarded as health information under Alberta's Health Information Act.

Retention

Appointment request emails are kept only as long as needed to arrange your visit and maintain a record of our correspondence, then deleted in the normal course of business.

Your rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent to its use. Email hello@myvistadental.ca and we will respond promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date.
